Implementation of Quartet Card Media as a Strategy to Increase Reading Interest of Fourth Grade Students in Indonesian Language Learning at Ragi Elementary School, Bima Regency

This study aims to describe the implementation of quartet card media as a learning strategy to increase the reading interest of fourth-grade students in Indonesian language learning at Ragi Elementary School, Bima Regency. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) which is carried out in two cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects were 20 fourth-grade students of Ragi Elementary School. Data collection techniques used observation, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out descriptively qualitatively and quantitatively by calculating the percentage increase in students' reading interest from pre-action, cycle I, to cycle II. The results of the study showed a significant increase in students' reading interest after the implementation of quartet card media. In pre-action, students' reading interest was classified as low, increased to the sufficient category in cycle I, and reached the high category in cycle II. In conclusion, the use of quartet card media is effective in increasing students' reading interest in Indonesian language learning.
